Intake Coarse Screen Trashtec
The Intake Coarse Screen Trashtec is a heavy-duty hydraulic trash rake specifically designed to remove large debris from water intakes, pumping stations, hydroelectric facilities, and wastewater treatment plants. Its robust double-arm design provides exceptional lifting capacity while eliminating submerged mechanical components, ensuring reliable operation in the most demanding applications. Available in static (DDA-S) and mobile rail-mounted (DDA-M) configurations, the Trashtec can accommodate channels up to 5 ft wide in standard execution and significantly larger channels with the mobile version.

- About Product
Description
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The Trashtec utilizes a double-arm hydraulic raking system powered by three heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders. Two cylinders control the lifting and lowering of the rake, while a third cylinder controls rake opening and closing.
During operation, the rake descends in a fully open position. Once it reaches the bottom of the channel, the rake closes onto the bar rack and penetrates between the bars to capture accumulated debris. The debris is then lifted to the discharge area and released into a dumpster, conveyor, or collection device.
This unique operating sequence allows the system to efficiently remove large objects and heavy debris while maintaining exceptional reliability.
- Why It Wins
Features & Benefits
Hydraulic Double-Arm Design
Three powerful hydraulic cylinders provide precise control of the lifting, lowering, opening, and closing motions, ensuring dependable operation under heavy loading conditions.
No Submerged Mechanical Components
Unlike traditional coarse screens, the Trashtec eliminates critical mechanical parts below water level, reducing wear, corrosion, and maintenance requirements.
High Debris Lifting Capacity
Capable of removing up to 1,100 lbs of solids per raking cycle, making it ideal for large debris applications and severe operating conditions.
Wide Opening Rake
The rake opens completely in front of the bar rack, allowing large objects and floating debris to be effectively captured and removed.
Flexible Raking Position
The rake can stop and open at any position during its downward movement, providing a significant advantage during storm events, flooding conditions, and high debris loading situations.
