Description
OPERATING MODE
Conditioned sludge is first mixed with polymer upstream of the screw press and then
introduced into a specially designed flocculation tank. The flocculation chamber provides
sufficient retention time to form stable flocs before entering the dewatering section. Inside the screw press, free water is removed through the perforated filtration drum under low pressure. As sludge progresses through the machine, the conical screw shaft gradually reduces the available volume, increasing pressure and enhancing dewatering performance. A pressure-adjustable conical discharge ring applies final compression to achieve optimal sludge dryness before the dewatered cake is discharged from the machine. Both feed pressure and discharge pressure can be adjusted to suit varying sludge characteristics.
- Why It Wins
Features & Benefits
Adjustable Polymer Injection System
The integrated flocculation system features an adjustable-height polymer injection point designed to optimize sludge conditioning and improve floc formation prior to dewatering. Large-diameter feed piping minimizes shear forces and preserves floc integrity.
Patented Conical Seal Assembly
A patented thick-sleeve conical seal maintains constant pressure within the filtration zone while improving sludge dryness. Derived from proven pulp and paper industry technology, the seal is designed for rapid replacement and long service life.
Free Drum Technology
The filtration drum is mounted only on the discharge side of the frame, allowing half of the drum assembly to be removed easily without dismantling the main structure. This innovative design significantly simplifies maintenance procedures.
Modular Perforated Drum Panels
The drum incorporates independently replaceable perforated stainless-steel sheets that can be serviced individually without replacing the complete drum assembly, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
Low-Speed Dewatering Technology
Operating at less than one revolution per minute, the Omega SSP minimizes wear, reduces energy consumption, and improves reliability while maintaining excellent sludge dewatering performance.
