Description
OPERATING MODE
The Plate Filter Press separates solids from liquids by pumping conditioned sludge into a series of recessed filter plates covered with filter cloths. As pressure increases inside the chambers, water passes through the filter media while solids remain trapped between the plates.
Over time, a dense filter cake forms inside each chamber. Once the filtration cycle is completed, the press opens and the dewatered cake is discharged by gravity. The clarified filtrate is collected and returned to the treatment process.
The Aqualitec range is available with manual plate shifting systems for smaller installations and semi-automatic trolley-assisted plate shifting systems for larger sludge treatment facilities.
